Steps to Apply

Please follow our easy, four-step process to complete your application. To find out more, contact our Enrolments Team who is here to make the application process for you as easy as possible.

Please note, an application for enrolment does not guarantee a place will be available. Where the cohort is full, you may be placed on a waitlist. If you wish to discuss availabilities in specific year levels prior to submitting your application, please contact the Enrolments Office on 07 3454 4401 or email enrol@juniorgrammar.com.au.

Step 1: Visit Us

If you would like to know more about IJGS, have any questions, would like to book a tour or be added to our mailing list please let us know via our online enquiry form or call us on (07) 3454 4401 during office hours.

Step 2: Apply Online

Complete your application for enrolment online and pay your $110 (AUD) application fee. You will need to scan a few important documents to complete your application. Check the entry year for your child and then apply online for a place in our Early Education Centre (Kindy and Pre-Prep) or our Junior Grammar School (Prep to Year 6).

Step 3: Interview

The School will contact you to make an appointment. Interviews are conducted six to 18 months prior to your child’s first day.

Step 4: Offered a Place

Following an assessment of the enrolment application and interview, you will receive a letter to advise whether or not your application has been successful. If your child is offered a place you will be asked to confirm your acceptance and to pay a non-refundable confirmation fee of $500 with your written acceptance.

Early Education Centre & Junior Grammar Enrolments

We are currently taking enrolments for the year 2027 and beyond. Our 2025 and 2026 enrolments are approaching capacity. Please contact our Enrolments team on 07 3454 4401 to enquire about the current status of any vacancies prior to submitting an application form.

Confirmation of Place

To accept your place, payment of a confirmation fee is required, being $250 for boys (confirming through to Year 6) and $500 for girls (confirming through to Year 12).

Orientation and Welcome

Prior to your child commencing School, you will be required to complete and return the School’s compulsory orientation forms (including any medical/allergy details). Should a formal orientation not be available (for example, mid-term entry), students are invited to take part in Junior Grammar Girl or Boy for a Day, where they have the opportunity to meet with their classmates and spend a day as a Junior Grammar student.
