Bright Sparks Workshop
Our Bright Sparks Workshop is a learning space dedicated to our Junior Grammar students, to build their skills, knowledge and passion for E-STEAM (Entrepreneurship, Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics).
Being an independent School means we have the benefit of constantly examining and refining our learning programs to enhance each child’s educational experience and outcomes.
This enables us to not only embed a thorough understanding of the Australian Curriculum across year levels, but to also introduce forward-thinking and innovative academic programs, such as E-STEAM.
We include technology lessons that provide basic skills to access modern technology in our weekly curriculum. Lessons start in Prep and continue right through to Year 6, in our Bright Sparks Workshop.
Early Education Centre (Kindy to Pre-Prep) boys and girls take part in our introductory Digital Play program, to give them a strong foundation in skills and experience as they move into Prep.
From Prep through to Year 6 we introduce a variety of E-STEAM lessons at our Bright Sparks Workshop, including coding and robotics.
Our extensive resources provide fun and engaging digital world experiences. Junior Grammar boys and girls develop 21st century skills through learning tools like LEGO robotics, Bee-Bots, virtual reality and green screens, in our Bright Sparks Workshop.
Home base for many of our E-STEAM lessons, our Bright Sparks Workshop provides endless opportunities for our girls and boys to thrive, excel and share their learning in a safe and fun environment.
Bright Sparks offers a variety of after-school activities including Coding Club, Robotics Club, Chess, Hackafun and so much more.
We also host regular Gifted and Talented workshops and Professional Development experiences for other schools in our region to share what we are doing, under the leadership of our Junior Grammar Head of Digital Innovation.
